The Pixel 3 XL and Pixel 3 seem to be two of Google's worst kept secrets of 2018. We've already seen the two phones in plenty of leaked images (and even videos), so we're genuinely curious to find out if Google will have any surprises left to reveal about them on October 9, when the handsets should be officially announced. Until that day comes, though, we can now take yet another look at the Pixel 3 XL - a pre-production unit, to be precise.

Reportedly, the Google Pixel 3 XL pictured in this article was found by a Lyft driver on the back seat of his car, not long after dropping off some passengers. The smartphone appears to have a transparent protective cover on, but it certainly resembles the Pixel 3 XL units seen in previously leaked materials - big notch, rear fingerprint scanner, and a single main camera.

It's said that the Pixel 3 XL sports a display of 6.2 inches or more, while the smaller Pixel 3has a 5.5-inch screen. The two smartphones are expected to share most of their other features: Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processors, 4 GB of RAM, excellent cameras, Android 9 Pie out of the box, and so on.

We're assuming that both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will go on sale shortly after their announcement (in October). Just like the Pixel 2 series, the upcoming handsets will be compatible with all major US carriers, and they might be sold at similar prices - starting at $649 for the 5.5-inch model, and $749 for the larger one.

From what you've seen thus far, do you think you'll want to buy any of Google's new Pixel smartphones?
