Huawei’s upcoming Mate 20 Lite has already been the subject of numerous leaks which have essentially revealed the smartphone’s entire spec sheet and design. But this hasn’t stopped the new mid-range offering from appearing on a new Geekbench listing which confirms a few details.

Starting off with the processor, a previous certification post in China did include details that pointed towards the presence of the new Kirin 710 processor, although it made no specific mention. Thanks to today’s benchmark, though, the presence of the chip has finally been confirmed and scores a respectable 1598 on the single core results but only generates 4665 points on the multi-core test. This ultimately puts it on par with Qualcomm’s 600-series processors but isn’t enough to reach the same performance levels as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710. Now, in addition to the processor, the recent certification listing revealed 6GB of RAM. However, these benchmark results reveal a 4GB of RAM variant will also arrive upon launch. Nevertheless, 64GB of storage should still be present. Also, completing the package should be Android 9 Pie with the EMUI 9.0 overlay on top.

In terms of design, the rear of the Mate 20 Lite takes some cues from last year’s Mate 10 Porsche Design thanks to the unique strip down a portion of the rear that is home to a dual-camera setup and the rear-facing fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, when it comes to the front panel, the Mate 20 Lite follows in the footsteps of Huawei’s recent smartphones by boasting a tall 19:9 display complete with a small notch up top and a chin down below.

Presently, it’s unclear when Huawei will unveil its next mid-range offering but considering it will sit alongside the flagship Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro which are both set to be unveiled in October, a similar announcement schedule for the Lite variant is expected.
