Samsung Starts Working On Android Oreo Update For The Galaxy A8 (2018)
May 02, 2018

We've been reporting about various Samsung smartphones that are expected to receive Android 8.0 Oreo updates in the coming weeks, but the Galaxy A8 (2018) hasn't been mentioned in any of our previous reports.

The reason is pretty obvious: Samsung hasn't started working on Android Oreo for the Galaxy A8 (2018), so it couldn't provide an ETA like it did with the Galaxy S7/S7 edge and other Galaxy A series smartphones.

However, we now have two different sources that confirm Samsung has finally started working on Android Oreo update for the Galaxy A8 (2018), a smartphone that's been released back in January.

Despite the fact that it's one of the most important mid-range Android smartphones launched by Samsung this year, it appears that the South Korean company had no intention of providing the Oreo update until recently.

Perhaps Samsung's development team is too busy working on Android Oreo updates for the other devices that are supposed to receive the software upgrade very soon. In any case, if Samsung has just begun working on the update, it will probably take a few months to bring it to the Galaxy A8 (2018), just so you know.
